Tax reference is mandatory for customer code creation in Vietnam. As per the Tax Policy in Vietnam (Circular 153/2010/TT-BTC), Tax reference (Tax code or Tax Identification no) is mandatory in the legal invoice which is issued in Vietnam. Any non-compliance or missing tax code will result in invoice cancellation or amendment thereafter.
