Die Geschichte von Twill
Twill wurde 2017 in Berlin gegründet und hatte das Ziel, die Logistik zum Besseren zu verändern. Dafür befragte das Unternehmen zunächst Kunden aus der Logistikbranche zu ihren Problemen und Herausforderungen. Anhand dieser Initiative entwickelte sich eine neue Vision: „Versand leicht gemacht“.
2017
Twill started in Berlin as a project to understand customer pain points and develop solutions to address them. The initial design was launched in 2017, bringing the first customer from the UK. Soon, Twill launched also in Spain.
2018
In September 2018, Twill started to be supercharged by Maersk. This connection had an overall positive impact as Twill could boost its network coverage and the services offered.
2019
In 2019, the network coverage and the services offered kept on expanding. Twill found a good balance between bringing the first launch design to the next level and starting to pave the way and get ready to expand in 150 countries.
2020
In 2020, we launched our #Twillforgood programme to connect and empower entrepreneur women to international trade. As a result of one of the initiatives, 29 women entrepreneurs from Kenya, Nigeria, India and Mexico were coached.
Future
As part of our sustainability strategy, it is our objective to keep developing #TwilforGood and connect 100,000 women to international trade by 2025.
